DIVING, on the magnificent reef at PORT MARIA The Republic of Port Maria declared its independence on 1st October 1980, and has seen steady growth in its economic and trading base since then. Port Maria is highly regarded by scuba divers as among the best dive spots in the planet, as its isolation, unpolluted waters, and pristine freshness give its abundant marine life great confidence and friendliness to humans. We must also point out however that there will always be found an occasional shark, so divers should beware! But
for a spot of diving and underwater photography, you will certainly have a good
time at Port Maria. Air tanks can be readily filled at all hours, and film can
be processed for you while you dive.
